Jet2 reinforces winter offer with 500,000 more seats and new routes — including connection to Madeira and Porto

Jet2 will increase capacity for winter 2026/27, adding more than 500,000 seats and increasing the schedule by 8.7% compared to the previous year. Among the new routes, the company will now serve Funchal (Madeira) from Gatwick and also reinforces the winter offer with additional stopovers to cities such as Porto, in addition to other European and winter sun connections.

The growth also includes the resumption of flights to Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada, but with a direct impact on European tourist demand for Portuguese destinations via new capacity from the base in Gatwick and other origins in the United Kingdom. For tourism in Portugal, the main effect is the increase in seats and travel options in the winter period to Madeira (Funchal) and the destination Porto.
