Istat (INE's counterpart) recorded zero growth in Italy's GDP-Gross Domestic Product in the third quarter, reflecting a deceleration compared to previous months and divergent trends between the main economic sectors: value added increased in services and agriculture, while it decreased in the industrial sector.
In the third quarter of 2026, GDP, expressed in quarter-on-quarter values with 2020 as the reference year and adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects, remained unchanged compared to the previous quarter, but increased by 0.8% compared to the same quarter of 2025. It should also be noted that the third quarter of 2026 had four more working days than the previous quarter and one working day more than the third quarter of 2025.
