International passenger arrivals rose by 5% in April

Spain received 32.4 million international passengers (+5.1%), most of whom travel on low-cost airlines. in April, it reached 10.1 million tourists (+3.7%), driven by Holy Week.

Increases were observed in Europe (+4.2%, except Germany) and America (+6.2%, with emphasis on the USA). Sharp drops in Asia (-30.7%) and the Middle East due to the conflict in the region.

Six regions concentrated 97% of traffic, Madrid led (22.4%), followed by Catalonia (21%). In turn, Andalusia and Valencia grew at double digits, while the islands (Balearic Islands and Canary Islands) recorded a decrease.
