EasyJet faces strikes in Portugal in October and December

01 October 2026

easyJet cabin crew based in Portugal have announced two five-day strikes, from October 2 to 6 and from December 19 to 23, 2026. The movement covers the bases of Lisbon, Porto and Faro and may disrupt the connections of these airports with other European destinations.

According to the union cited by the article, about 500 flights could be affected during the first stoppage. This is an estimate of potentially disrupted flights, not confirmed cancellations. The impact will depend on negotiations, any minimum services and the reorganization of operations by the company.

The first strike coincides with the Portuguese holiday of October 5 and the second before Christmas. Agencies and operators with customers travelling during these periods should monitor changes to flight schedules and easyJet communications to prepare, if necessary, alternative transport solutions.
