Applications are now open for the Conexão Luso-BR open innovation program, an initiative promoted by Embratur—the Brazilian Agency for International Tourism Promotion—with technical support from Porto Digital (Brazil) and Cais do Porto (Portugal).

The program is supported by Turismo de Portugal as part of its strategy to promote innovation and international cooperation in the tourism sector. The connection between the two ecosystems fosters new opportunities for developing solutions to industry challenges, accelerating the digital transition, enhancing destination competitiveness, and creating value for companies, visitors, and regions.

The program lasts five months and is aimed at startups from both countries with mature technological solutions that have been validated in their home markets and are ready for internationalization and market expansion.

Applications are organized into two tracks:

- Brazil-Portugal Track: Brazilian startups interested in expanding their operations to Portugal

- Portugal-Brazil Track: Portuguese startups interested in expanding to Brazil
