According to an analysis by the Holidu platform, Albufeira is the most sought after summer destination by the Dutch for 2026. Although Portugal leads with Albufeira, Spain dominates the ranking, occupying 8 of the 10 most searched destinations, with emphasis on Lloret de Mar, Malaga, Barcelona, Valencia and Calpe. The study concludes that the popularity of these destinations results from the combination of sunshine, short duration of the trip and diversified offer of beach, culture and activities. Among the Portuguese destinations, Porto and Lisbon are also among the most searched for by Dutch travelers.
