According to the Ruefa-Reisekompass study, nine out of ten Austrians plan to make at least one trip in 2026, with an average budget of around 2,200 euros per person.
Europe remains the preferred destination, especially countries such as Italy, Croatia, Germany and Greece. At the same time, travelers increasingly value transparent pricing, security and flexible booking conditions.
Package travel and flexible rates gain importance, allowing changes or rescheduling if necessary, something especially valued during the high summer season.
