The desire to travel on vacation is growing and the numbers are on the rise, but so is the average debt that Italian families are taking on to make these trips. That's the conclusion of a new report by the Confcooperative Study Center, which reveals that at least 2 out of 10 Italians have financed their vacation using Buy Now Pay Later services. In fact, payments in three interest-free installments have skyrocketed 127% in the last three years, registering an increase of 23% in 2026 alone. In the same period, traditional small loans of less than €1,500 fell by 29%..."
