American Airlines has announced new international routes for 2027, including a direct flight between Philadelphia (PHL) and Porto (OPO) starting March 28, 2027.

This will be the first time the company serves Porto, which reinforces air connectivity from the US to Portugal.

The same expansion includes more connections to Europe and season extension between Philadelphia and Vienna, helping to capture transatlantic demand in the European calendar. Together, these connections can increase the flow of North American tourists to the Porto region and enhance travel on itineraries with other European capitals.
