Absenteeism from work overshadows high season

Despite projecting a positive summer, with an estimated 3.2% growth in sales, Spanish tourism entrepreneurs face a scenario of strong volatility, cost pressure and global uncertainty due to the conflict in the Strait of Hormuz. This slight deceleration compared to the second quarter (+4.2%) is closely followed by what is now the main headache for employers in Spain: the serious problem of absenteeism from work, which has consolidated itself as the biggest concern of entrepreneurs for the high season.
