In 2025, the tourist accommodation sector registered 32.5 million guests and 82.1 million overnight stays. The guests increased 3.0% and the overnights rised 2.2% compared to 2024.

From January to December, there is a notable year-on-year growth in the number of overnight stays from Canada (+5.8%), USA (+4.9%) and Germany (+1.2%).

Total revenue for 2025 increased 5,0%, reaching 29,1 billion euros

According to Banco de Portugal, the three markets with the largest shares were the United Kingdom (14.7%), Germany (11.5%), and France (11.0%).
