Tourism Outlook - August 2024

The tourist accommodation sector registered 3.8 million guests and 10.5 million overnight stays in August 2024. The guests increased 5,9% and the overnights rised 3.8% compared to the same month of 2023. 

Total revenue increased 7.8%, reaching 948,1 million euros, and revenue from accommodation reached 765.5 million euros, reflecting a growth of 7.7%.

Until August 2024, overnight stays reached 55.1 million and increased by 4.1% (+1.5% for residents and +5.2% for non-residents).

Total revenue, which achieved 4.531,0 million euros until August 2024, grew by 10.5%, and revenue from accommodation, which reached 3.507,7 million euros, grew in a positive way: +10.4%.
