Tourism Outlook - May 2024

The tourist accommodation sector registered 3.1 million guests and 7.7 million overnight stays in May 2024. The guests increased 9.4% and the overnights rised 7.5% compared to the same month of 2023. 

Total revenue increased 15,5%, reaching 660.8 million euros, and revenue from accommodation reached 505.9 million euros, reflecting a growth of 15.5%.

Until May 2024, overnight stays reached 27.7 million and increased by 4,4% (+0.9% for residents and +5.9% for non-residents).

Total revenue, which achieved 2.080,7 million euros until May 2024, grew by 12.2%, and revenue from accommodation, which reached 1.559,2 million euros, grew in a positive way: +11.9%.

The tourism receipts registered 2.444,5 million euros in May, an increase od 11,7% compared to the same month of 2023.
