Tourism Outlook - 2022

Tourism Outlook gathers the main performance indicators of the sector, in Portugal, on a monthly basis.

In 2022, overnight stays amounted to 69,7 million and increased by 86,7% (+22,6% in residents and +150,8% in foreigners). Comparing with the same period of 2019, overnight stays decreased by 0,7%, as a result of the decrease in overnight stays from foreigners (-4,6%), given that overnight stays from residents increased by 8,4%.

Total revenue, which amounted to €5 014,1 million, grew by 115,2% and revenue from accommodation, €3 808,3 million, increased by 117,3 % (+16,7% and +17,9%, compared to the same period of 2019, respectively).
