Employment is one of the factors with great influence both at an economic and social level, being decisive in a development that is intended to be sustainable. If, on the one hand, the economic capacity of the population is largely a reflection of their employment situation, on the other hand, access to employment facilitates the processes of social integration. It is important to assess the relative importance of tourism-related activities in the economy in terms of employment.​
