Sustainability Report 2021

The “Sustainability Report 2021” is intended to provide information on the work carried out by Turismo de Portugal over two challenging years (2020-2021), marked by a pandemic that brought us other priorities, but which did not divert us from the commitment made in the Tourism Strategy 2027.

The importance of preserving the goals set out in that strategy and the need to have a plan focused on the post-pandemic recovery of tourism in Portugal led to the launch of the Reactivate Tourism - Build the Future Plan, which is part of the "20-23 Tourism More Sustainable" action plan, in order to continue to guarantee a consistent, sustainable and responsible tourism development model.

It has been hard, but challenging work, to position national tourism as one of the most sustainable and competitive destinations in the world.
