Assesses the evolution of the number of foreign tourists in Portugal, that is, the number of foreign visitors that generate overnight stays in each destination. The increase in tourists increases the production of waste, gases and other air pollutants, as well as natural resources. Growth in the number of tourists also implies greater social impact. The monthly evolution of overnight stays generated by region also makes it possible to manage the seasonality of Tourism, in order to identify tourism opportunities throughout the year.
